Christchurch Leaking Tiled Shower Repairs
Leaking tiled shower repairs are a real issue in NZ and something we get contacted about regularly. Poor workmanship, design, waterproofing, drainage, adhesives and grouts are all contributing factors to the problem.
Common signs that your shower is leaking include a musty smell, mould growth, loose tiles, water staining, missing grout, swollen plaster board or skirtings.
Leaking tiled showers can cause serious damage to the structural elements of your building. If ignored the repair bill could run into the tens of thousands and result in a complete rip out and redo.
If you require repairs to your tiled shower, Project Wetroom can investigate, report and provide the most effective repair methodology to remedy the leak. We can advise whether repairing your shower is the best option or if a complete refit is required.

Frequently Asked
Questions
What exactly do you offer?
We offer a total design to completion service for your proposed bathroom or wetroom renovation. Specialising in mid to high range tiled and accessible bathroom solutions.
Do you offer a fixed price quotation?
Will i need building consent?
I have an awkward shaped bathroom, what is possible?
What should my budget be?
This is always very difficult to estimate as there are certain factors that can change things considerably. Age of the property, consent requirements, size, fixtures & fittings, plumbing, electrical, extent of tiling etc.
Full bathroom/wetroom renovations can cost anywhere from $25 to $60K+. To be at the lower end of this budget your home would have ideally been built in the 90’s or later and the choice of fixtures & fittings to be of an average standard. If you wish to install a wet area shower only and leave remainder of bathroom as is? Then a budget of $12 to $17K is realistic, however once again, it is dependent on the same factors mentioned above.
